BISMCS 234 Media and Communication Techniques. A Day in The Life. Welcome to BISMCS 234! January 3, 2012. I have a fun quarter planned for everyone, but we only have one day a week to meet together, so I want us to hit the ground running. Please take some time to do the two brief readings and the listenings listed below before class on Thursday, and come ready to discuss them. Basic principles, Technical tips, Interviewing.
Draw on the Priestman reading and at least one other reading from the quarter to design a community radio station here at UWB. What would it be like? Post is due by midnight on Sunday.
We would like our website to be a jumping off point to create a movement which helps give the public a better understanding of the coverage on certain broadcasting networks so that they can be educated on the content they are being fed.
Two stories were produced by UW Bothell students in collaboration with the Community Alliance for Global Justice. Community Building through Farmers Markets. We drive pass them on our way to work, we buy from them when we are hungry, and we take them for granted. What are they; farmers markets. Why do we take them for granted you ask? Listen to mp3 here.
Using discourse analysis for social change. 85 protestors over the weekend after they marched.
